Afternoon of Oct 06 2012, Garibaldi, a town in the coast of Oregon.
First time, we rented a car for a 2-day trip along the coast of Oregon. Garibaldi is just one of a lot of small towns along the coast. The blue color of the sky was so beautiful. The whale is part of a windmill sculpture. When winds blew, it seemed swimming in the sky. Americans like putting huge initial letter of the town on the hill, as a landmark. Garibaldi is a very small town, and this small port should be an important public space for the local residents. Several persons were fishing on the jetty. One of them just cast the line, and found can not draw it back. Everyone thought that the hook got stuck by the pillars of the jetty, but the truth was an immediate bite. You can see that fish in the photos below. What a strange fish, isn’t it? Most boats in the harbor were fishing boat. A man was walking the day on the jetty. There was a bar/restaurant nearby, with bright colors and exaggerated decoration. By now, it has passed for half a year. But when I think back, it seemed that I can still feel the sea breeze of that afternoon.
